President

The President is the backbone and motivating force for the organization. This person manages all of the officers and members of the YMF board. He/She is responsible for organizing meetings, overseeing events and committees, advertisement, and assisting in all areas needed. The President also assists the Historian with the Annual Report which is due in November after the end of his/her term.

 

YMF Director

The YMF Director is the YMF Past-President and main liaison between the YMF Board and the SF Section Board. This person communicates on behalf of YMF with updates on events, financial status, university and community involvement, and requests for assistance from the Section. The YMF Director is required to attend monthly Section Board meetings and update YMF Board with Section information. He/She also assists the President with elections and officer inductions.

 

Vice President 

The Vice President assists the President in his/her duties and aids in event planning. In addition, the Vice President is responsible for recruiting and retaining new membership, maintaining the mailing list and sending email updates to YMF members. He/She will preside over meetings in the event that the President is unable to do so. He/She shall act as the Professional Development Committee Leader.

 

Treasurer

The Treasurer is the manager of the YMF financials. He/She is responsible for overseeing all financial matters including budgeting for events and fundraising. The Treasurer must keep track of all financial records and provide financial updates to the Board on a monthly basis. He/She is also responsible for coordinating with the Section for financial aid. This includes submitting a budget to the Section and ensuring that YMF stays within that budget. Before the end of his/her term the Treasurer is also required to submit an annual budget for the following year. In addition, the Treasurer will coordinate with the Webmaster to organize online event registration.

 

Secretary

The Secretary is responsible for all YMF written records of upcoming events. He/She oversees all written material and keeps minutes at the YMF officer meetings. In addition, the Secretary coordinates updates to the website and YMF newsletters and is responsible for overseeing the submission of upcoming events to the Section newsletter for advertisement of upcoming events. The Secretary shall also act as the Social Events Committee Leader.

 

Historian

The Historian is responsible for all YMF written records of past events. He/She is responsible for creating the Annual Report, overseeing the submission of past events to the Section newsletter and for the YMF website, taking pictures at events and compiling them into promotional slideshows, and compiling Event History Forms. The Historian shall also act as the Outreach Committee Leader.

 

Webmaster

The Webmaster is responsible for maintaining and updating the Official San Francisco Section Younger Member Forum Website. More specifically, he/she shall update and maintain all the contact information, event publications, the annual calendar of events, and all other links and literature on the website. In addition, the Webmaster shall maintain and update the list of existing and future YMF member email addresses. The Webmaster is responsible for nominating the SF YMF website for the National Award each year.
